Application Process

  • The next time we will be accepting applications for new volunteers will be for the Summer 2017 term from March 1st to March 31st, 2017.
  • We are no longer accepting applications for Fall 2016.
  • Requirements for Summer 2017 Volunteer Applicants
    • Must be a UF undergraduate that will be a Sophomore or Junior for the Fall 2017/Spring 2018 year
    • Must be available to serve for all of Summer 2017 as your first semester
    • Must be able to serve with Streetlight for two years as an active UF student volunteer
    • Completed Streetlight Application
    • A letter of recommendation (preferably from a health care professional, Streetlight member, or volunteer coordinator). Please have your reference e-mail their letter of recommendation to streetlightapplication2017@gmail.com as well.
  • Our application cycle for Summer 2017 will be open on March 1st, and all completed application materials will be due by 11:59 PM on March 31st. 

Sample Fall/Spring Schedule

Visitation Teams (5 – 6 members per shift)

  • Monday through Thursday  3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Friday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Lounge Teams (8 – 9 members per shift)

  • Monday through Thursday 5:30 p.m. -8:45 p.m.
